Squaw Valley Annual Film Festival
Squaw Valley is looking for a few great films! There is no secret
that Squaw Valley is a hotbed of talent when it comes to skiers,
snowboarders and filmmakers and the resort is looking for a few
amateur films to feature at the resort’s annual Winter Film
Festival. The event will take place in Squaw Valley USA’s
Olympic Plaza. Two rooms will be showing the films, one accommodating
all ages and one for ages 21 and over. The rooms will be airing
the same films simultaneously. Showing is scheduled for 6:30pm.
The Squaw Valley Winter Film Festival began six years ago as a
way to celebrate the talent of Lake Tahoe’s athletes and
filmmakers and kick off the start of the winter season. Today,
the Festival continues to highlight the regions’ creativity
with a focus on both established film companies and new producers.
Squaw Valley is accepting both short and feature-length films and
the deadline for entries is October, 20 2005. Filmmakers interested
in screening their movie at the Film Festival should contact the
Squaw Valley Marketing Department at 530-583-6985
