Q. How long is a ski lease?
A: Ski leases vary from four(4) to five (5) months or more, depending on availability. Ski leases will normally start in December or January and end in May, but may vary depending on the availability of a particular home and can be customized to your personal needs.
Q. What about the utilities?
A: The tenant pays for telephone, cable TV, snow removal and trash service for the term of the lease. The tenant also puts the electricity and gas into their name for the duration of the lease.
Q. Do I need to pay all the rent upfront?
A: No. Tahoe North Rentals collects rent for each month of the lease at the beginning of each month.
Q. Do I need a security deposit for a ski lease?

A: Yes. The security deposit is the amount of three(3) month's rent. The security deposit will be refunded (less a $50 utility transfer fee and $200-400 for cleaning) at the end of the lease, less any damages or additional cleaning necessary to return the home to pre-lease condition.

Q. When do I pay for the ski lease?

A: Deposit is due upon approval of application and credit review of two parties. Balance (first month's rent, utilities and snow removal) is due 30 days prior to start date.

Q. Do you do a credit check?

A: Yes. The cost is $25.00. We screen all ski lease tenants prior to signing the lease contract. Potential tenants must fill out a rental application and credit check authorization.
